Hospital Doctor or General Practitioner

If you are employed under a collective agreement or if you are a general practitioner, you are obliged to be a member of the Pension Fund. If you are employed in a hospital it is your employer who pays the obligatory pension contribution to the Pension Fund. If you have your own out-patient clinic, the National Health Service (i.e. Sygesikringen) will pay the pension contribution on your behalf.
